KHAIRUL HAZWAN, 32 YEARS OLD
Khairul Hazwan, was born in Kedah, Malaysia; December 31st 1982.
Currently, he is one of the most active music video director in Malaysia.
He was originally trained in Civil Engineering at Technology University of Malaysia and managed to attain a degree in 2005. A much of self taught photographer who is driven by his great passion for photography, he explores the world using his own thoughts and expresses his visions and his breathtaking moments through his million frozen clicks.
He loves photography. He loves candid. He loves to travel.
He started as a professional photographer in 2005. As the story goes, he’s already covered more than 500 clients of event and wedding of all over the world, including wedding of our own Malaysian Astronaut, Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar. He’s been all over the globe; London, Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Helsinki, Jakarta, Bandung, Singapore, Bangkok and many more, to captured precious moments for his clients. In 2010, he launched his 1st solo photography workshop in Malaysia and Singapore. And so far, he’s already conducted his own solo photography workshop in all over Europe including London, Paris, Dublin and Helsinki, established his name as one of Malaysian who manages to conducted an international solo workshop, recognized by Embassy of Malaysia in Europe in 2011.
In 2012, Khairul Hazwan started as a Film Director. His first major directorial effort was ‘The Book of Love’ (2012), with Farra Olivia, a film that marked him as a rising star. It was his next effort, however, that made him an international superstar among directors: a well known Malaysia rock band, Spider music video titled ‘Tapi Bagaimana’. This classic short film concept in a rock band music video started the tradition of the summer blockbuster or, at least, he was credited with starting the tradition.
The journey continued, and until end of 2013, he managed to produced and directed more than 25 music video for all local and international artist under various label around South East Asia.
His dream is to touch people with his pictures and movies, spread all the love that one could possess, and to create a better place for one to live in by enjoying every wonderful work of his own masterpieces.
